Light comes first. The first thing you do when you have selected a location for your shoot, is to check the light conditions. And of course you have to decide if you work with the light (the light in your back) or against the light (from the shadow side). I worked with a lot of (international) models and introduce them to you on Patreon. I always prepare a shoot by looking at a model’s portfolio and trying to find out what her strong points are.
